Thomas L. Satrom

Thomas L. Satrom graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1972 and immediately joined the firm. He served as Isanti County Attorney from 1976-1979. Since then, he has specialized in business law, electric utilities law, estate planning and real estate, where he has been certified by the Minnesota State Bar Association as a Real Property Law Specialist. He has been selected four times as a Minnesota Super Lawyer by Minnesota Law and Politics. He was appointed by the Minnesota Supreme Court as Chairman of the Ethics Committee of the 18th Judicial District for eight years. He also carries the highest rating (AV Preeminent) awarded by LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbel National Peer Review Rating Service for both legal ability and ethical standards.

He served on the Board of Directors of the U.S. Olympic Committee for 12 years, served as Chairman of the Membership and Credentials Committee of the U.S. Olympic Committee for four years, and was the Team Leader of the U.S.Olympic Curling Team in the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan, and in the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France. He has served as President of the U.S. Curling Association and he was inducted into the U.S. Curling Hall of Fame in 1999. He has also been involved in community volunteer work, having served on the Board of Trustees of the Cambridge Medical Center for 15 years and as Chairman for two terms. He was a co-founder of the Cambridge Curling Club, the first President of the Cambridge Hockey Association and is a long-time member of the American Legion. He was a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves for many years. Tom resides on Spectacle Lake with his wife, Barbara, where they raised their three daughters.
